art studio: amsel art
a place to find class information, student work, events, instruction, and inspiration
All my classes read the book "The Dot" last week and created artwork inspired by the book. Teaching the students to "make their mark" brought out tons of creativity!
Starting from scratch! A basement studio in a old 1900s Seattle building - a blank canvas - where to begin?
After teaching secondary for 10 years, I feel like a brand new teacher all over again. I'm taking in the excitement, the unknown, the energy, and the newness with open arms!
Let the adventure begin!
BEFORE: I HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO!
AFTER: READY FOR THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR!
I ADDED POURING PAINT BUCKETS OVER EACH TABLE, THANKS TO PINTREST. I HAVE A "POSITIVE DISCIPLINE" - QUIET BODY SPACE, ASKING STATION, LIBRARY, ART JOBS ON THE BOARD, AND GREAT SPACING.
